Sarsia Seed partner Sveinung Hole joins the NNN board. Erik Christensen reelected as chairman.The annual NNN General Assembly was held in Oslo Science Park on June 10th, in connection with the NNN member meeting and summer party.

In August this year, NNN will publish a newspaper supplement, which will be distributed with Dagens Næringsliv across Norway. Through this channel, we want to reach out to a wider audience with information about our members and partners, and to share our insights on the strong research and development work among our members.  

The EFNS/ENS Joint Congress of European Neurology took place in Istanbul between May 31st and June 3rd. The congress gathered more than 5000 neurologists from around the world and featured the latest research and development on diseases such as Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, epilepsy and multiple sclerosis. 

The journal Nature has announced the current decade as the decade of psychiatry, and the Norwegian government has chosen psychiatry as a prioritized field of research. To continue on this trend, NNN organized a meeting about the future treatment of schizophrenia on the 5th of June. 

NNN member companies are encouraged to apply for a presentation slot at the Norwegian Invest Forum in Oslo Science Park on October 14th. Norwegian Investment Forum is the largest venture conference in Norway and attended by more than 200 participants.  

7th of May Nansen Neuroscience Network, Oslo Medtech and Oslo Cancer Cluster organized an information meeting about financial mechanisms for business and industrial research.

NNN would like to congratulate professors May-Britt Moser and Edvard Moser from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) for being elected Foreign Associates of the US National Academy of Sciences.
